TW Blake is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blake Investment Partners (“BLAKE”), a private equity and real estate firm he established in 2003. A St. Petersburg, Florida native, Thompson has spent over two decades building a diversified real estate platform with a concentrated emphasis on opportunistic acquisitions, land development, and mixed-use projects across the Southeast and beyond.
Under his leadership, BLAKE has facilitated hundreds of transactions spanning industrial, multifamily, retail, and hospitality asset classes. Thompson serves as Chairman of BLAKE's Investment Committee and is the principal architect of the firm's investment thesis — partnering with subject matter experts to acquire or launch platforms with predetermined value-creation strategies.
His real estate experience includes projects in Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta, and Birmingham, having developed 100+ neighborhoods and 20,000 lots. Additionally, he has worked on a significant number of income-producing assets including long-term retail holdings, OZ investments, and multifamily co-development with Greystar and Kettler. Blake is also an owner of Heatherland Homes, a U.S. Veteran-run homebuilding company producing 200+ homes per year.
Thompson holds a B.A. and M.A. from Florida State University and a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law.
